This course is for Black and Indigenous people who are interested in learning more about pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. People who are supporting folks who are pregnant, giving birth, and postpartum (partners, family members, doulas, etc.) People who desire to tap into their autonomy, sovereignty and innate wisdom as a birthing and postpartum.

    • Remembering traditions so we can release colonial practices

    • Honoring the legacy of the traditional midwife

    • Naming our teachers and never overstepping them

    • Naming where traditions derive from

    • Trusting our inner being to guide us

    • De-Whitewashing midwifery by reclaiming our “old ways”

    • Birth is an extension of the human sexual/erotic/kinky/sensual experience

    • The same body parts are being activated

    • The lack of informed consent being exercised is an extension of the rape culture we live in. (Obstetric rape)

    • Sexual trauma can be healed and/or triggered during birth & vice versa

    • The female anatomy needs the same thing during both orgasm and birth

    • We have the power to manifest and be deliberate co-creators of our reality

    • When this path is for us a way will be made

    • The seeds we plant are congruent with fruit it bares

    • Self care is simply listening to your self. Especially regarding your input and output.

    • Having healthy self talk is one of the foundations of self care

    • Self care doesn't have to cost money

    • Having routine in your life balances out being on call and the input— output balance
